Armenian chapel to be blessed in Afghanistan

Spiritual leader of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Vrtanes Bishop Abrahamyan, has with the Armenian delegation headed, by the Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, and with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians left for Afghanistan.

Vrtanes Bishop Abrahamyan will serve blessing ceremony at an Armenian chapel in Afghanistan. The chapel was built in the Kunduz region by the Armenian peacekeepers.

According to the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, Bishop Abrahamyan will pass the Armenian peacekeepers also the blessing and the appreciation of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

Bishop Abrahamyan has taken with him church accessories, donated by the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, which will be given to the newly chapel.
