Five poultry factories fined for misleading consumers

State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia has fined five poultry factories by 500,000 AMD each for not having mentioned the keeping time on eggs.

A study conducted by the Commission has discovered that among companies that have not mentioned the keeping time and other necessary information on eggs are Zangap, Yerevan Poultry Factory, Lusakert Poultry Factory, Arzni Poultry Farm and Araks Poultry Factories.

The Commission has ruled that it may be considered as an expression of unconscious competition and an act to mislead consumers.
