The only Armenian who won in Kavala

Hrant Melkumyan was the only Armenian chess player to win at the 4th round of the International Open Chess Tournament in Kavala, Greece as he beat Alexander Zubarev (Ukraine).

Other Armenian players Gabriel Sargsyan and Zaven Andreasyan earned 0.5 points each.

Vahe Baghdasaryan, Elina Danielyan and Nelly Aginyan were defeated.

Andreasyan and Melkumyan are in the 2-4 places with their 3.5 points.

Gabriel Sargsyan is the 9th with 3 points.
