HAK condemns unhealthy atmosphere in the army

The Armenian opposition movement Armenian National Congress (HAK) has released a statement condemning the recent two incidents in the army that claimed human lives and sparked a widespread discontent over the situation in the army.

HAK expresses deepest condolences for the relatives of those killed in the two incidents and further criticizes the relevant bodies in charge.

"The Armenian National Congress expresses its deepest concerns and resentment over the unhealthy situation and criminal habits and manners in the army. Such tragedies, which are possible as rare incidents, have become of common occurrence. This testifies to the fact that the current crisis in the [political] system in our country has fully penetrated also into the armed forces," reads the statement.

Further it says that the only way to curb such events in the army will be overthrowing the ruling authorities as soon as possible.
