Azerbaijani citizens arrested in Moscow over kidnap charges

Moscow Prosecutor's Office has filed a criminal case against two Azerbaijani and a Ukrainian citizen, reports Russian news agency Interfax quoting Moscow law enforcement bodies.

According to the source they are accused of having kidnapped a Russian entrepreneur and required a ransom for his release.

On July 12 on Krilatskie Kholmi street the three perpetrators allegedly kidnapped the Chief Executive Officer of the local Imperia Avto LLC, took him to a village called Molokovo and kept him there for 22 days.

The entrepreneur was later released.

Further the source mentions that the perpetrators demanded $7m USD from the relatives of the person kidnapped.
