Armenia's Government allots 24,6m drams to help Russia put off fires

Armenia's Government agreed at a cabinet session today to listen to a proposal made by Armenia's Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan to help Russia extinguish the wood fires that have during the recent days devastated wide areas of the country claiming several human lives.

The move was initiated by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Armenia has already sent fire brigades and necessary equipment to Russia's regions worst hit by the fires.

More help will be sent if need be. The Government has decided to allot 24,6m drams to Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
