Javakhk woods in the flames: Firefighters cannot put it off

Georgian firefighters cannot extinguish wildfires in the woods near Atskuri village, Akhaltsikhe, Georgia.

According to Kavkaz-Press despite firefighting efforts the fire is gradually spreading engulfing more and more areas.
Georgia's Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources told the source that firefighters at the moment cannot put off the fire mainly due to burning fir trees which apparently seem to be of great quantity.

A thousand of firefighters and special equipment is evolved in the rescue operation.

Fires are 5-7 km far from communities and at this moment citizens are not exposed to any risk.

Further the source mentions that it still remains unclear how many hectares of the woods have been affected by the fire as the firefighters cannot enter the woods.
