Artsakh scout movement is positive, says Bako Sahakyan

On 9 August President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan attended the closing ceremony of the first general camping of the scout movement “Sons of Artsakh” held in Shoushi, according to a release of the presidential office.

Mr Sahakyan rated positive the initiative of the “Hayk’s Generation” organization to found a scout movement in Artsakh with the participation of youth from Armenia and Diaspora. He said it would favor patriotic upbringing of younger generation, further strengthening the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity and deepening their ties.

Attending the ceremony were also Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Artsakh Republic ministers of education and science, culture and youth affairs, as well as other officials.
