Armenia has 2 participants in New Wave Junior festival

Fifteen representatives from 9 countries will participate in the New Wave Junior popular music international festival to be held in international children center Artek.

The information department of the Center told Russian news website Gazeta.ru that some 5000 applications from 16 countries were submitted this year.

Of all the 100 participants invited to the semi-final held in Moscow on April 17-18 only 15 have been shortlisted.

The participants are divided into two age groups - 8-12 and 13-15 years old.

Vladimir Arzumanyan will represent Armenia in the first age group, while Razmik and Friends music collective will perform in the seconded one.

The New Wave Junior will take place on August 20-22.

Sona Shahgeldyan, 24, recently won the first prize in the same contest held among grownups.
