Passenger flow on the increase in Zvartnots Airport

Armenia's main Zvartnots International Airport has during January-July 2010 had 5340 landings and flights. Last year that number was 4624.

According to the General Department of Civil Aviation at the Government of the Republic of Armenia the passenger flow has increased this year: during the period under discussion 403,029 passengers have arrived in Armenia, while there have been 443,051 outgoing passengers.

Last year the number of outgoing passengers during the same period had been 390,954, while that of incoming passengers had been 362,489.

Loads exported through Zvartnots Airport have made a total of 1914 tones with imported loads being 2873 tones.

Armenia's second-largest airport Shirak located in Gyumri has seen 116 landings and flights during the January-July period against last year's 100.

The number of passengers arriving in Armenia has been 7334, while those departing from Armenia have been 9776.
