Huseynov didn't surrender but got lost, says Baku

Azerbaijan has dismissed reports that sergeant of the Azerbaijani army Roman Huseynov has not surrendered to the Armenian side, saying that he has lost on his way to his military unit.

According to ANSPRESS, Huseynov's parents said he must have been lost on his way to the military unit and found himself beyond the military posts of the Karabakhi defense army.

Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry has not made any comment on the incident yet.

On 17 August Karabakh's Defense Ministry reported that Roman Huseynov crossed the Nagorno Karabakh border and surrendered on August 17.

Huseynov had said he crossed the border in an attempt to avoid any further mockery he was continuously subjected to by the his military supervisors.
