Azeri forces attempt diversion attack on Karabakhi military posts

Azerbaijani armed forces have made an attempted diversion attack on military posts of Karabakh's defense army.

According to a release issued by the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, the incident took place at 6:30 am on August 31 in the vicinities of Chailu village in the north-eastern region of Nagorno Karabakh.

The Karabakhi forces have noticed the special Azerbaijani forces' advance and opened fire on them. The Azerbaijani forces suffered injuries and gave way.

Short-distance cross-firing have caused damages also to Karabakhi forces. Rudik Manaseryan, a temporary serviceman of Karabakh's Defense Army born in 1991, was wounded.

An investigation is underway with the details of the incident to be clarified.
