Ararat Ghoukasyan appointed as Byblos Bank Armenia CEO

Ararat Ghoukasyan, President of the Union of Banks of Armenia, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Byblos Bank Armenia.

The bank told Tert.am that the appointment was confirmed by the board of the Central Bank of Armenia on 25 August.

In the capacity of the CEO of the Byblos Bank Armenia Ararat Ghoukasyan succeeded to George Sfeer.

Byblos Bank SAL has a 65 per cent share in Byblos Bank Armenia's authorized capital. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and OPEC have 25 and 10 per cent shares respectively.

By 30 June 2010 the bank's total capital has made 8.4 billion drams, with 25.6 billion dram assets and obligations worth 17.18 billion dram.

Ararat Ghoukasyan was the Executive Director of Converse Bank before he took this new position.
