New sabotage leaves one Azerbaijani officer killed and others wounded

A new act of sabotage on the line of contact between Azerbaijan and Karabakh organized by the Azerbaijani military intelligence forces has fueled more tension on the border line.

According to the Information and Advocacy Center of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh the incident took place at 6:50 am on 4 September, 2 kilometers far from Jraberd community, north-east region of the contact line.

The front troops of the Nagorno Karabakh's Defense Army took a worthy response at a short-distance cross-firing, and the Azerbaijani forces were pushed back leaving one officer dead on the border.

Some of the Azerbaijani officers were wounded as they were caught on mines while retreating.

The Karabakhi side has suffered no losses.

According to the Information service of the Defense Army of the Republic of Armenia handcuffs and a gun with silencer have been found next to the body of the Azerbaijani officer, which allows supposing that they intruded into NKR's territory with the aim of sabotaging and taking Armenian soldiers into hostage if successful enough.
