Those responsible for incidents in army will receive 'worthy judicial assessment'

Those responsible for the recent incidents in Armenia’s army will get due punishements, Armenia’s Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan told journalists at a briefing at the National Assembly today.

According to the official version, on July 27 an incident in the military unit near Mehrab village, Tavush, left contract serviceman Artak Nazaryan killed. On July 28 another incident with the use of gun left 7 soldiers killed in another military unit.

Asked whether the Defense Ministry keeps track of how the court hearing process of those cases is going on, Mr Nazaryan said: “The Defense Minister [Seyran Ohanyan] strictly controls the issue, and those undesirable actions, that is to say the criminal actions will receive a worthy judicial assessment.”
