OSCE Co-Chairs to discuss ‘renewed’ Madrid Principles?

OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France) and Robert Bradtke (US), as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andzey Kasprzyk will pay a visit to Armenia today.

The mediators are expected to hold a meeting with President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan within the visit.

According to Russian news agency Ria Novosti, the Co-Chairs will hold Armenian leadership consultations over the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict based on the renewed Madrid Principles.

On Wednesday the OCSE MG Co-Chairs arrived in Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno Karabakh, where they met Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan.

Before coming to Stepanakert the OSCE MG Co-Chairs had visited Baku and held talks with President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
