Governor Schwarzenegger issues message commemorating Armenia's independence

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a message commemorating the 19th anniversary of Armenian Independence from the former Soviet Union. On the occasion, the Governor also praised the Armenian-American constituents of California for their contributions to the state.

"California is home to a wonderful meshing of customs and cultures and now we acknowledge our Armenian-American residents for their contributions to our Golden State. You enhance our communities and enrich California's diversity. We are honored to join you in commemorating this special occasion.

"On behalf of all Californians, we wish you a memorable observance and every future success," read the message.
