Armenian builder dies at Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics construction

An Armenian worker has died at the construction site for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Armenian citizen worked at the section of Adler-Krasnaya Polyana railway. He had left for the Russian resort town of Sochi about 15 days ago.

His colleagues said he disappeared at about 9 p.m. and was some time later found dead near a scaffold bridge.

Doctors could not save his life as they rushed to the scene.

According to one of the versions, the Armenian worker might have not noticed that the scaffold bridge was not fully covered and therefore fallen down from above 10 meters.

An investigation is underway.
