HAK to celebrate Independence Day in Saryan Grove

Opposition movement Armenian National Congress (HAK) will convene a festive assembly in prominent Armenian artist Martiros Saryan grove in downtown Yerevan.

The assembly is dedicated to the 19th anniversary of the declaration of Armenia’s independence.

Speaking to Tert.am Arman Musinyan, Spokesperson of the HAK leader and former Armenian president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, said that the assembly will be attended by HAK leaders and HAK supporters.

Short speeches dedicated to the Independence Day may also be delivered, he added.

It comes after HAK’s September rally near the building of Matenadaran with Levon Ter-Petrosyan delivering a speech that considerably focused on the reactions and interpretations of his previous speech.

Armenia declared independence on 21 September 1991 following a referendum.
