Karabakh president congratulates Armenia's independence anniversary

On 21 September President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

The letter spread by the Central Information Department of the Karabakh’s presidential administration reads as follows:

“On the behalf of the Artsakh authorities and myself I cordially congratulate you and the entire Armenian people on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.

“It is a holiday for every Armenian in Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora. We all celebrate a solemn event that has laid the base for bringing century-long dreams and national goals of our people true to life.

“For already 19 years the Armenian people have embarked on the path of creating and developing their statehood, making prosperous their homeland, reinforcing and strengthening democratic values. It is a hard way and overcoming it with dignity demands strong will and unshakable spirit, hard and painstaking daily work, tenderhearted and compassionate stance towards the Homeland.

“I am confident that under your leadership Mother Armenia will become a modern and developed country, the homeland for the widespread Armenians, where every Armenian will live with a sense of pride.

“I congratulate you and our compatriots on the state holiday once again and wish you peace, prosperity and success in glory of the bright future of the Republic of Armenia.”
