HAK spares no effort to hold early elections: Aram Manukyan

Board Chairman of the Armenian Pan-National Movement Party of (HHSh) Aram Manukyan does not agree with those saying the recent speech by the leader of opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Ter-Petrosyan means that the HAK is fighting for the next elections rather than for early ones.

“That’s not the case. Levon Ter-Petrosyan clearly expressed himself - only early elections; the presidential ones first. The HAK is doing its best for early elections [to be held],” said he.

Asked when early elections would be possible to hold, Mr Manukyan said he could not mention any exact date. At the same time, he said he was sure that there would definitely be an occasion to hold those elections.

A situation that can come very soon related to the internal political situation,” he added.

Following Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s landmark speech on September 17 some political figures said the HAK is preparing for the next elections rather than early ones which have sparked a lot of discussions in Armenia’s political circles.
