Aliyev discussed Karabakh issue with special representative of US Secretary of State

On 22 September Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with representative of the Secretary of State of the United States for Eurasian energy issues Richard Morningstar, AzerTAg State News Agency reported.

Issues related to cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the field of energy and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were discussed during the meeting.

No details are reported as to what exactly was discussed during that meeting.

It was attended also by Deputy Secretary of the United States for European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Gordon.
