Armenian national Sergei Matosyan elected as Abkhazian deputy chairperson

An Armenian national has been elected as the Deputy Chairperson to the parliament of Abkhazia, reports Yerkramas.

Sergei Matosyan was elected in a secret vote. He received 22 'yes' votes out of 24 possible.

Matosyan was born in 1952. He holds a military rank of colonel and is a hero of Abkhazia.

In 1996-2000 he was elected in the Abkhazian parliament. In 2000-2005 he worked as head of the department of personal stuff at

Abkhazia's Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2007 he was one more time held a parliamentary seat.
