Dashnaktsutyun holds rally in Ashtarak but it isn’t an election campaign

On September 29 Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun, ARF-D) is holding a rally in Ashtarak town, Aragatsotn province.

In a press conference today head of the ARF-D parliamentary faction Vahan Hovhannisyan said the rally is not an election campaign; it will rather focus on occasions on what he called “unlawful actions” that have taken place in Ashtarak province.

“The rally is not an election campaign and is related to the illegal actions of the province’s leadership. This is just a local issue and has does not have a political pretext pertaining the elections,” said he.

Asked what exactly he means by “illegal actions” Mr Hovhannisyan said: “We will announce about it in tomorrow’s rally.”
