Bambir attracts also Europeans

Armenian folk-rock band Bambir has won the third prize at the Euro Voice song contests held in Athens, Greece, for the first time.

The band has performed its "That's fine with us."

"It's very strange; when your represent the country, you don't think about the results on the stage," said band's soloist Narek Barseghyan, adding that they had very tight schedule during the competition.

Twenty-eight countries participated in the contest.

The band members said they liked mostly Macedonia's song.

Bambir received most of the votes from Russia, France, Greece and Kazakhstan.

Bambir's manager Gohar Danelyan-Dubost, in turn, said that such contests have good perspectives, and that participation in them allows widen cooperation. The result is the American side has showed interest in Bambir, she added.
