Armenia has second-largest industrial growth in CIS states

Armenia is the second country in CIS in terms of industrial growth recorded during January-August this year, a study by the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS has revealed.

Comparing the data with the 2009 indicators the Committee has concluded that Kyrgyzstan is the first country by industrial growth (20.8 per cent) followed by Armenia which has seen a 11.5 per cent industrial growth during the eight months in 2010.

Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Tajikistan share the third place.

Russia has seen 9.2 per cent growth, while Belarus - 9.8 per cent, followed by Uzbekistan (8%), Moldova (5.2%).
The industrial growth in Azerbaijan has during this period been 3.8 per cent.
