Armenian and Azerbaijani youth ‘fight war’ for Karabakh in Siberia

Russian law enforcement bodies in Tumen have prevented a second clash between Armenian and Azerbaijani students, reports Russian radio station Ekho Moscvy.

The clash took place on the grounds of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and might have had irreversible consequences if not prevented at that stage, the source adds.

The incident took place just a few days ago when an Armenian student of the Tumen’s 16th College wore a sports shirt that bore a note reading “Our Karabakh” – something his Azerbaijani group-mates have disapproved of.

The first clash between the Armenian and Azerbaijani young man left one with a gun wound in the area of the ear. But, fortunately,

Tumen’s law enforcement bodies managed preventing a second attempt to meet and settle accounts with each other with some fresh forces having already joined them.

Further the district committee on issues pertaining national minorities brokered a deal between the Armenian and Azerbaijan community leaders and put an end to the ‘‘war’’ over Nagorno Karabakh sparked in Siberia.
