PACE adopts document calling on Armenia to 'return the body Azerbaijani soldiers'

In the third working day of the autumn session Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a document which calls on Armenia to "return the corpses of Azerbaijani soldier Mubariz Ibragimov and officer Farid Akhmedov to their state."

According to the Azerbaijani news website Trend.az, the document - titled "The Need to Return the Corpses of Azerbaijani Soldiers to Their State" - had been prepared by Ganira Pashayeva, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

"Such cases run counter to international conventions and to the norms of the international law and negatively affect the peaceful settlement Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The PACE is calling on Armenia to return the corpse," reads the document.
