Man found drowned in Lake Sevan

The body of a drowned Armenian citizen has been found in Lake Sevan.

The corpse of V. Vardumyan, 54, was found at 6 p.m. on October 25 and was handed to emergency services, according to Emergency Channel news centre.

The centre does not however elaborate on the cause and circumstances of the incident.

Drowning cases are unusual at this season of the year as the lake's water is cold and almost impossible to enter for swimming.

At least 6 people have drowned in Lake Sevan this year's swimming season that normally starts from mid Junes and lasts till mid September.
