Yemen-Armenia match will not take place

The Armenia-Temen match will not take place, chief coach of Armenia's national team Vardan Minasyan has said, talking with a press officer of the Armenian Football Federation.

"It was mainly the players of Pyunik that sould have prepared for this match who have become tired after a long period of tournaments. Besides a few people have injuries. Roman Berezovski and Henrikh Mkhitaryan cannot join the team either, therefore it is convenient for us to play in February, so that be prepared for this important match with Russia's select team," local Armenian news website Armsport.am quoted him as saying.

Earlier on October 17 he had said that a friendly match is planed with Yemen on November 17.

The Armenia-Russia qualifier at the European Chamiponshiop 2012 will take place on March 26, 2011.
