“Invented History: Azerbaijan and Armenia, Falsifications and Facts:” Russian translation of Ruben Galchyan's recent book

 The Russian translation of a book by former Armenian Honorary Consul in London, Honorary Doctor of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and cartographer Ruben Galchyan has already been published.

Titled “Invented History: Azerbaijan and Armenia, Falsifications and Facts” the book’s English version was published in 2009.
In a presentation of the book today, Mr Galchyan said that it makes references to 130 scientific sources and facts and includes 75 maps and photos, which are what he called “the vivid proofs of the Azerbaijani falsifications.”

“It has been 50-60 years since our neighbors have tried to eliminate our name from this region,” said he, adding that Azerbaijan publishes an immense amount of anti-Armenian literature.

“They distribute such literature for free. Those books can be found in the libraries of different cities,” said he, adding that the book is kind of response to what he called “anti-Armenian fiction” found in Azerbaijani scientific publications in the 50 years.

Mr Galchyan further said that he has been studying maps for 30 years now and has concluded that Azerbaijan has emerged on the maps millennia later.

“The Islamic, Greek and other maps make reference to two countries that have history – Persia and Armenia,” said he, adding that Azerbaijan has emerged on the maps 2500 years after Armenia.
