Turks desecrate Greek cemetery while celebrating Republic Day

Unknown individuals have attacked a Greek cemetery in Turkey, breaking 78 thumbstones belonging to the Greeks.

Turkish media report that the incident occurred on Gokceada Island on October 29, the day Turkey celebrates its Republic Holiday.

This is the most large-scale attack against Greek cemeteries over the past 20 years.
