Journalist among Georgians accused of spying for Russia

The Georgian media have found out the names of 4 people arrested on suspicion of espionage. One of them is Petre Davrishadze, an inhabitant of the Georgian resort town of Cobuleti.

Earlier, it was reported that at least two of the detainees - entreprenuers Armen Gevorgyan and Ruben Shikoyan - were Armenians.

The fourth person is Ruslan Galogre who worked in one of the hotels in Batumi.

Reuters reported earlier that Georgian police detained 20 people suspected of spying for Russia.

The country's Interior Ministry refrained from comments, stating that an official announcement will be made at a press conference on November 5.
