Members of Armenian-ruled gang group get sentence in Yekaterinburg

The court in the Russian town of Yekateringburg has passed a ruling against six members of the gang group who committed truck larceny in the provinces of Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk in January 2006-February 2008.

Dressed in police uniforms, the gangsters stopped the trucks and, beating the drivers' violently, robbed the cars. The gang group consisting of 16 members was ruled by an Armenian national.

The six members of the group have been sentenced to 8-15 years in prison. As to the other 10 members, their cases are under the proceedings of Sverdlovsk district court.
