Ex-political prisoner Vardges Gaspari protests in front of Government

The parents of servicemen killed in army during their service have gathered today in front of the Government building, voicing their protest over the authorities' inaction to disclose the circumstances of their children's' death.

Former political prisoner Vardges Gaspari has also joined the crowd.

Lying down near the entrance of the Government, the former political prisoner held a poster, which read "Stop Violence and Torture in Army, Police and Detention Places, Especially against Political Prisoners."

Vardges Gaspari was noticed by Yerevan's Mayor Gagik Beglaryan who was passing by at that moment. Mr Beglaryan asked the nearby policemen who that man was, and they promised him that he will soon leave the area.

Later the protesters approached the Mayor and handed him notes with a request to assist them to have the circumstances of their children's death disclosed.
