Strike in London causes disorder in the subway

The London Underground officials continue today, Wednesday, a protest strike against job cuts, which has caused disorder in the city, where 3 million people rely on every day of underground trains, EFE reports.

All subway lines are affected by the strike, which began late on Tuesday the 19 pm local time, with the participation of about 11 000 workers, called by the Union of Rail Maritime and Transport (RTM).

The London subway workers are protesting against plans to eliminate 800 jobs at the offices of ticketing.

But the union estimates that the reduction of jobs can reach two thousand. It may affect the safety of the stations, since many will remain with very little staff.
