Armenian president and Arab Sheikh discussed Armenia-UAE cooperation

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan recieved Thursday Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Lubna al Kasim, who has arrived in Armenia to participate in the first Armenia-UAE business forum.

According to a release by the presidential administration, Mr Sargsyan attached importance to the organization of the forum and the Arab official's visit to Armenia, considering the frequency of meetings and the attendance of around five dozen businessmen to the forum as the start of an effective cooperation.

In her turn, Sheikh Lubna al Kasim expressed satisfaction with her visit, adding that a number of mutually-beneficial proposals were discussed during the meetings in Armenia can be successfully implemented considering the practical and effective efforts of both countries towards developing bilateral ties.

The parties also emphasized Armenia-UAE intergovernmental committee's role in discussing and implementing a number of projects of bilateral interest.
