Armenian poet's house in Turkey turned into refuge for drug addicts (video)

Rumors about great Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents' house in Kars have been circulating for the second day running.
Drug addicts have reportedly broken into the desolate hut today.

"The abandoned house having a small yard and three rooms within a total area of 100 meters has been besieged by drug addicts. It poses a real threat to the district's population who demand that it be either totally destroyed or repaired," Turkish news agency Dogan reports.

On Friday Hurriyet daily reported the current owner of the desolate place offered $180,000 USD to an Istanbul-based Armenian from who wanted to buy the house and turn it into a museum. The negotiations over the house price have now stopped.
