Be more active and hold more rallies! HHK’s advice to HAK

Opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) will gain about 10-15 per cent of the votes at the next parliamentary elections, member of the Republican Party of Armenia Hovhannes Sahakyan told HAK representative Vladimir Karapetyan at a debate today.

“And I would call on them to become a little more active, otherwise that 10-15-per cent barrier will be difficult for HAK to surmount,” said he, adding that the HAK should follow Republican MP Galust Sahakyan’s advice and be more active.

Vladimir Karapetyan in turn said he was doubtful about the forecasts made by a power that has “no principles.”

“I am being really dubious when some percentage [of votes] ascribed to us are being announced by a representative of a political power that faked the 2008 [presidential] elections, held them with beating and massacre, committed a massacre on March 1 in 2008, that left 10 people killed but no one has so far been punished, and it is only thanks to that that the political power holds power,” said Karapetyan.

Further he said that it is the leader of that political power who announced that he would go to Turkey through open borders but left for Turkey, showing to the world his “unprincipled approach.”
