Central Bank leaves repo rate unchanged

The executive board of Armenia’s Central Bank ruled at a session today to leave the repo rate unchanged at 7.25%, according to a release by the bank.

Armenia’s economy has seen 1% inflation in September compared the results of October 2010. As a result the annual inflation rate has been increased by 0.5% up to 9.1%.

The executive board has stated that the annual high inflation rate continues to be accounted for by supply shocks, particularly by high prices in foot stuffs, fruit and vegetables.
