It’s strange how Azerbaijan looks upon peaceful co-existence: Seyran Ohanyan

Azerbaijani military leaders’ bellicose statements are not something new to our country, according to Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan.

It comes after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s recent statements made at the funeral of the Azerbaijani officers killed during a comando style attack on the Karabakhi outposts this summer and were glorified as heroes. 

“They had better control the service on their frontline to prevent their immature diversionists from penetrating into our territory. They have certainly received a worthy response. But it’s strange how Azerbaijan looks upon the peaceful co-existence issue after declaring those people heroes,” the Minister said Monday hosted by Real Politic, a TV program aired by the state-run Public TV.

At that, he noted that the armed forces of Armenia will continue imposing peace measures upon the enemy not to allow such statements to assume larger scales.
