HAK submits crime report to General Prosecutor

Opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) submitted today a crime report to the General Prosecutor, HAK legal representative Armen Khachatryan told Tert.am.

The report concerns yesterday's clash between HAK representatives and the police, which resulted in the arrest of the opposition members.

According to Armen Khachatryan, the police interfered with the no-mass public event and abused its authority, using force and depriving young activists of the right to have a lawyer.

During the opposition's 6-hour-long rally on Tuesday, HAK activists came into a clash with the police and were later taken to the police department where they claim to have been beaten.

A criminal case has been filed against the activist for using violence against the representatives of authorities.
