Turkey takes Council of Europe's chairmanship and wants peaceful Karabakh settlement

Turkey takes the rein of one of Europe's top institutions, the country's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced in Strasburg on Wednesday.

Mt Davutoglu made the statement during the ceremony of taking over Council of Europe's chairmanship from Macedonia.

At a joint press conference with the CoE's Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland and Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki, the Turkish top diplomat said his country wants the problem between Azerbaijan and Armenia to be solved peacefully and with mutual respect, Azerbaijani news agency Trend reports.
