Head of Social Security Service submits resignation notice: Hraparak

Recent inspections by Armenia’s Control Chamber lasting about a month found brazen violations in Armenia’s State Service of Social Security, local Armenian daily Hraparak reports.

After getting familiarized with those violations, Head of Social Security service Vazgen Khachikyan had blood pressure oscillations and was hospitalized.

Upon the end of checkups, an act will be filed in conjunction with the Social Security Service.

However, the discussion took place in Khachikyan’s absence. He had unexpectedly left for Moscow for medical check-ups but before departure, reportedly submitted a resignation notice.

According to informed sources, the situation was introduced to President Serzh Sargsyan who was very indignant with the preliminary results and recommended to continue the inspections.
