$100 USD for a credit card with Kardashian sisters' portrait
Dropping $4,600 on a shopping spree is not an issue for fashionista Kim, yet she has created a new concept to make it look good for teen shoppers, reports En.terra.com.
Although splurging big bucks is not for everyone, Kim has introduced a new credit card the "Kardashian Prepaid MasterCard" it allows parents to track their child's spending habits.
Young consumers between the 13-18 age group focus on shopping as a recreational activity purchasing clothing and technology that fit their personalities.
These young consumers are making their own decisions on how much to spend, what they can afford, and what methods of payment to use. This card will allow them to work with a budget as parents are supervising them via cell phone.
In the recent years there has been an increase of compulsive buying among adolescent consumers and the concept of being a practical buyer has faded.
This is a great concept since the growing generation has learned to live in a cashless society; purchases are usually made using a credit or debit card anyways. Yet, it is almost the same as a prepaid gift card- but someone is watching when the card is swiped. For teens its better than nothing- but at least they can control their spending habits.
