5 Armenian companies get GITI 2010 award in Georgia

During the recent award ceremony organized in the frameworks of GITI regional conference, 5 Armenian IT companies - X-TECH, IDram, EKENG, LimeTech and Essential Solutions - were nominated for prize.

The ceremony brought together more than 200 companies, enabling them to establish new ties and creating new cooperation prospects, X-TECH Director Arman Atoyan told PCNews.am.

"X-TECH has won Best Multimedia Solution Prize, displaying DIGITEC EXPO 2010 CDs which contained information on all the companies participating in the exhibition," he said.

Lime Tech Company which won the Best Integrator of the Year award represented the information pavilion of the State Revenue Committee. As mentioned by company's president, the pavilion facilitates the electronic delivery of reports and has an Armenian language keyboard.

According to Arman Atoyan, private sector in Armenia is more developed compared to Georgia where state system is more active.
Public sector in Georgia is better equipped with IT solutions and different systems, he added.

Organized by the Georgian Information and Communication Technologies Council and Justice Ministry, GITI 2010 exhibition was devoted to cyber society and innovation issues. Supported by USAID Caps-?, D-Link-? and USAID RCI 30 representatives from Armenia attended the conference.

Last years, 4 out of 29 Armenian companies participating in the contest were awarded.
