Protest against re-opening foreign-language schools in Armenia

"We Are against Reopening Foreign-Language Schools" group is holding protest at 5 p.m. in front of Armenia's National Assembly.
The protest will take place on Karen Demirchyan Street.

In a statement released today, the group says that the National Assembly will during this four-day session, that kicks off today, adopt a decision over a bill that envisages amendments to the "Law on Language and Public Education."

"This bill envisages opening foreign-language schools, which will pose serious threat to the Armenian language and independent statehood. Join the act of protest, invite all the interested people in your entourage," reads the statement.
