Ombudsman leaves for Brussels

Upon the Initiative of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), Human rights defender of the Republic of Armenia Armen Harutyunyan is in Brussels on an official visit that will last from November 15-17.

The Ombudsman will meet with Head of European Commission's Unit for Eastern Europe, Russia, South Caucasus and Central Asia Gunnar Wiegand, Chair of Sub-Committee on Human Rights Heidi Hautala and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.

Mr Harutyunyan is also scheduled to meet with Bulgarian politician and member of European parliament Andrey Kovachev and Chairman of the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia Delegation Milan Cabrnoch.

During his official visit, Armenian Ombudsman will also deliver a speech titled Capitulation of Political system for Human Rights.
