Russian, Turkish premiers discuss issues of interest in phone conversation

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed issues of implementing the Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline project as well as other projects, including the South Stream gas pipeline and the construction of a nuclear power plant in Turkey in a telephone conversation, Turkish news agency Cihan reports.

The parties expressed content that the Turkish parliament has ratified the agreement on NPP and that the Russian side is in the final stage of ratification.

They also exchanged views on the technical parameters of the South Stream project in a Turkish economic zone.
