European Friends of Armenia interested in public polls of voters in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh

The European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) is organizing two press conferences devoted to organizing public polls of voters in Armenia.

Each press conference will be followed by a full briefing on the results of the first ever conducted Comparative Opinion Polls in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh on Socio-Political Issues and Foreign Relations, the organization says in a release.

For this purpose, two polls have been conducted, containing largely the same questions.

The Armenian poll will be presented at 11.30am November 23, in the Golden Tulip Hotel. The Nagorno-Karabakh poll will be presented at 11.30 a.m. on November 25 in the Golden Tulip Hotel.

On 21 September 2010, European Friends of Armenia (EuFoA) issued an international call for proposals for conducting a public poll of voters in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Populus won the tender and in co-operation with IPSC conducted the poll between 15 and 26 October 2010. It is the first ever international and comparative poll of this kind.

EuFoA has commissioned the poll for two reasons: it seeks a neutral benchmark for similar future polls and has in mind that the Nagorno-Karabakh issue is very timely ahead of the OSCE summit in Astana.
